client of the month sally brewer.

This month I have been working with some inspiring clients. Client of the month of August is the amazing ‘Summertime Sally Brewer’. Sally is one of my ‘in-person clients and we see each other every two weeks. Sally also works with a nutritionist. Working with a life coach and a nutritionist has enabled Sally to understand why she was finding it difficult to lose weight due to her over-active adrenals. Your adrenal glands are very small – about the size of a walnut and yet they are responsible for the gargantuan task of managing stress in the body. When the adrenal glands have to work too hard they can become overwhelmed. One of the most common symptoms of over-active adrenals is weight gain. Other symptoms are depression, poor immunity and problems with sleep. Through taking a simple test where saliva was collected at intervals during the day, Sally was able to identify that her adrenals were over-active. Sally’s nutritionist is Gayle Merchant and you can contact her about ordering an adrenal test here http://www.gaylemerchantnutrition.co.uk/.
Taking control of her diet and making the necessary changes has enabled Sally to lose a stone in weight. Sally has worked on strategies for managing her stress and is also looking forward to starting a sign-language course in September.
This week Sally created some thirst quenching smoothies for lunch as in UK at the moment there is a heatwave and it is important to stay hydrated. Here are her recipes.
